The Gurdjieff Club is offering online study groups as an experiment in practical application of the Fourth Way oral tradition through new electronic mediums. The study groups are not meant as substitute for direct work with a teacher or a Gurdjieff group. This complex, multidimensional system of transformation must be personally experienced in thought, feeling and body. The form, sequence and approach to the deepest work depend on manifested quality of being, understanding and creative application of ideas and methods appearing in each moment between people working together. Words alone are insufficient, yet words are the coin of the realm when distance prevents direct sharing in the presence of others.

For those who may not have access to local groups or elders, today's technology provides opportunity for discussion with a world-wide community of Fourth Way seekers. The format for each study group will be directed by a person conversant in the ideas as presented on the Gudjieff Club web site. The aim of the study group is to open dialogue among likeminded people, to share questions and impressions about inner work and material drawn from the expanding Gurdjieff literature in a search to explore practical ways of enhancing personal work and understanding.
